Recent extensive touring "The Man from Ironbark" ('Banjo' Paterson impersonation) (including all Eastern States and their capital cities) Acting work has gone hand in
hand with live entertaining in locations as diverse as Aboriginal settlements in outback W.A, Australian Embassy in Laos, Wallaby restaurant in New York, the Funny Bone, Dallas, plus every state in
Australia. The performance arenas have varied from school shows, to Standup Comedy, festivals and Motivational talks. Geoffrey is a "folk comic", who combines verse, comedy and music.
This plus his acting, characterisations and whipcracking allows him to entertain a wide range of audiences. His amazing verse performance has always included that of the Bush masters:, 'Banjo,'
CJ Dennis, Lawson et al as well as his own. Geoffrey's career really took off in 1995 when his self devised one man show 'The Man from Ironbark" hit Winton in Queensland. The show based on the life and
works of "Banjo" Paterson received great acclaim from Australians from all walks of life, from politicians, media, academics, kids, and entertainers like Kelly Dixon, Pat Drummond, Ted Egan and
Slim Dusty. Geoffrey has now added new shows to his repertoire including; 'Ratbags & Romantics' and 'Modern Larrikins' He also specialises in conducting Performance skill workshops. His
goal is to highlight the integrity, larrikinism, and history of Australians past and present.

Hobbies!
As you can imagine after all this activity, hobbies don't get much of a "look in."
Still over the years Geoffrey has been involved in horse riding, Squash, swimming, Motorbikes Triathlons, Circus skills and whip cracking.
These days Geoffrey sticks to Karate and running.(managing to run in the 14 km City 2surf in Sydney in 03 and 04 |
